Hello everyone, I hope you are all well and welcome back to another blog post today. This one is like none other that I have completed before. It surprised me and left me speechless. This blog post today will be proving that it is okay if these things don’t go to planned, it’s not always something you can control that keeps getting in the way. So carry on reading to find out what I have install for you.

ree

Here’s what you will need:

A camera (unfortunately a phone wont work for this hack)

Some tape

A model

A location

Real flowers

Here’s what I did:

Firstly, I used plastic flowers, I thought that this would be a better idea as then they wouldn’t flop over the lens. This way I would have more precision over the location of the flowers.

I attempted to use a hair band to attach these on. The weight of the flowers meant that none of them were staying in place.

This was when I realised that real flowers would work better, they weigh less, I can cut them to size and take off parts of the flower that I don’t need.

The next day I went out and bought some flowers.

I cut these down to the desired size of the camera and used tape this time instead of a hair band, this was because I wanted to attach the flowers to the camera body rather then I lens. This was because I would need to use the lens when taking the photos.

This method also failed, there was still too much weight in the flowers stems for the tape to hold. No matter how much tape I used.

I began to realise that this hack could potentially cause damage to my camera and therefore wasn’t much of a hack anymore.

Every time I had the flowers in place, they would become unattached and fail.

Even when the flowers were in the right place and stayed on for a few seconds, the flowers didn’t look correct in the composition, they were hard to get into focus and didn’t looks aesthetically pleasing.

No matter what problem I attempted to resolve, another problem was being created

In the end I decided that I would leave this hack alone, I felt like I had given this ‘hack’ everything I had and therefore would be able to tell you guys enough about it. I would give this photography hack a very disappointing ‘FAIL’. Not only was it frustrating but it also was giving potential to damage my camera.

Please let me know guys if you attempt this, however I would not recommend. I’m really interested to hear how you guys got on.

Thank you for reading, I will see you all very soon.
